Oceano Hampton by Lowe Living combines striking architecture with elegant, warm interiors by Bec Judd to create a premium experience in Melbourne bayside living.

Lowe Living’s latest residential development, Oceano Hampton, combines sophisticated design with coastal sensibility. Located just moments from Melbourne’s Hampton Beach, the design is a perfect fusion of bold exterior architecture and warm, inviting interiors. This collaboration unites the architectural vision of ADDARC with the interior design of Bec Judd, marking her second partnership with Lowe Living. Judd’s ability to balance elegance and practicality has transformed Lowe Living’s vision into a luxurious living experience.

Traditional materials, such as brick and steel, are reimagined through a contemporary lens, creating depth and texture while maintaining a sense of familiarity.

The development makes a striking first impression from the moment you arrive. ADDARC’s architecture builds on the suburban character and charm of Ocean Street, which is lined with heritage homes and features a red-brick 1920s Anglican church at one end. The masonry facade evokes a sense of permanence and stability, grounding the architecture in its evocative setting.

Traditional materials, such as brick and steel, are reimagined through a contemporary lens, creating depth and texture while maintaining a sense of familiarity. ADDARC has carefully considered the journey and arrival sequence, ensuring the transition from street to residence is both functional and uplifting.

The interplay of strength and subtlety is evident throughout, with every design choice offering a seamless balance of form and function.

Inside, Judd’s interior design beautifully complements the strong, masculine exterior. Her approach harmonises the bold architectural lines with a soft tonal palette to craft spaces that feel both sophisticated and warm. This interplay of strength and subtlety is evident throughout, with every design choice offering a seamless balance of form and function.

The kitchen perfectly embodies this balance. A powder-coated steel trim around the island and gunmetal accents echo the exterior’s strength, while the tactile warmth of tundra stone benchtops, hand-cut mosaics and taupe hues soften the space. High-end finishes are complemented by practical touches, including joinery that combines aesthetic appeal with everyday useability. The result is a cooking zone that feels both luxurious and welcoming, a true centrepiece of the home.

“Bec Judd’s natural design ability and unique, considered style have delivered interiors that are effortlessly sophisticated yet welcoming, perfectly aligning with our design vision.”

Custom joinery is a hallmark of Judd’s design, offering clever solutions that don’t compromise on style. In the living area, a bespoke television unit discreetly conceals technology while doubling as a joinery unit for artwork and decor. Similarly, the bespoke bar unit integrates storage with a cooling drawer for beverages, allowing the space to remain elegant and uncluttered. These elements highlight the thoughtful integration of design and function, ensuring each area serves its purpose.

“Bec Judd was the perfect choice as our interior consultant,” says Emma Lowe, co-founder and managing director of Lowe Living. “Her natural design ability and unique, considered style have delivered interiors that are effortlessly sophisticated yet welcoming, perfectly aligning with our design vision. This exclusive offering has truly resonated with our target demographic, with only a few residences remaining for purchase.”

In the main bedroom, bespoke robes in a coastal oak finish offer ample storage while adding warmth and texture. The design of the wardrobes creates a seamless transition into the bedroom, emphasising flow and tranquillity. This attention to detail extends into the ensuite, where coastal oak veneer and V-groove panelling are paired with luxurious tundra stone benchtops. The bathroom also features large-format porcelain tiles, curved mirrors and strategically placed wall sconces that add subtle layers of luxury. Gunmetal fixtures reinforce the home’s harmonious design language and provide a visual link between the interior and exterior.

A haven for entertainers, Oceano Hampton reflects Lowe Living’s dedication to creating timeless homes that prioritise quality, elegance and functionality. Exuding sophistication and comfort, each space is thoughtfully considered to enhance the experience. From the striking architectural facade to the warm interiors, every detail has been meticulously crafted to create residences that are both luxurious and liveable.
