Ode, Double Bay offers bespoke detailing and customised surfaces and materials at a highly coveted corner location in the vibrant village of Double Bay. Designed by Luigi Rosselli Architects and Alwill Interiors, the building is a testament to contemporary luxury and classical style.

Luigi Rosselli’s renowned ability to merge the needs of modern Australian lifestyles with the artfulness of European design is evident in the curvaceous and classically proportioned building containing a series of lusciously detailed apartments and penthouses. Situated amongst what will soon be an urban boulevard in the heart of Double Bay, the development offers luxuriously crafted private spaces and a highly finished lobby, with a ground floor of high end retail and hospitality set among archways lined in travertine and encompassing a north-facing plaza connecting with Transvaal Avenue’s heritage conservation area and its renowned dining offerings.

Neutral backdrops throughout the bedrooms and living spaces are elevated by warm metals, Venetian plaster and fluting.

Ode contains just 15 suites over four levels, with apartments ranging between 219 and 311 square metres, meaning they are more house than apartment-sized. Interiors have been designed by Alwill Interiors using a palette of neutral tones and textures, which are illuminated with lush landscaping, eclectic artworks, and touches of onyx, brass, rich timber and stone. Living areas feature the curved lines of Luigi Rosselli Architects’s signature fireplaces and landscaped patios that overlook the sparkling harbour from the fourth and fifth floors. Penthouse suites enjoy rooftop terraces with barbecues and plenty of room for entertaining while looking out across uninterrupted Sydney harbour vistas.

When it comes to making the apartments their own, residents are able to choose from a suite of timber and travertine flooring options, kitchen joinery timber finishes, as well as a variety of beautiful Italian stone tops for kitchens and bathrooms. Bronze tapware and walnut veneer joinery gives a rich sense of texture and shine to bathrooms and kitchens, where Wolf and Sub Zero appliances are specified for exceptional functionality. In the penthouse suites, these options are furthered, extending to bronze and concrete ceilings as well as a wider range of finishes and stones.

With a design that echoes the curves and nuances of 1950s architecture, reminiscent of the work of Oscar Niemeyer and Gio Ponti, the cosmopolitan atmosphere and comfort of Ode, Double Bay’s apartments make the most of all the address has to offer.
