STUA’s contemporary collection of chairs, tables, stools, storage, lounge and outdoor furniture was first envisioned by STUA Founder and Principal of Design Jesús Gasca. “Good design is not only about beautiful shapes. With this ethos as the foundation upon which he has built his business, Jesús has devoted his life to the creation of contemporary furniture that is both enduring in form and timeless in nature.

A truly family run operation, Jesús works alongside his son Jon, as they collaborate on the contemporary yet timeless design pieces for which STUA has become known. An industrial engineer by education, Jon has held the position of Art Director at STUA for almost 20 years, establishing his own unique design style that has inspired pieces such as the Costura sofa collection, Solapa tables and Malena armchair.

In more recent times, STUA has reaffirmed its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing. The company is dedicated to the creation of long-lasting design pieces, developed to facilitate a more durable lifecycle – it is a dedication that has helped establish a more sustainable manufacturing process. New recycling tools, the use of solar energy, clean processes and the search for packing without plastic are all driving forces behind what Jesús calls “becoming a better company.”
