Jardan unveils its latest furniture collection, Hotel Futura, a contemporary homage to relaxation in a vibrant colour scheme, blending innovation with a hint of whimsy.
Progressive yet playful, sophisticated sans the hubris, beautiful while approachable … Jardan’s Hotel Futura collection is a veritable feast for the senses, or perhaps the perfect online dating profile. Adjectives aside, Jardan’s largest ever furniture collection is a modern celebration of the art of lazing, marked by a bold colour palette and contemporary design language.
To understand the collection, it helps to first visit the place from which the concept was brought into consciousness: the notion of the imagined Hotel – this encapsulates the very soul of the collection. It exudes a harmonious blend of collaborative playfulness, premium materials, a vibrant creative community and an inviting atmosphere that fosters togetherness.
Crafted in Australia, the collection features eight new ranges comprising sofas, armchairs, tables and dining chairs. “The sofas and armchairs are really an ode to lounging,” says Jardan director Nick Garnham. “We have retained our brand’s DNA in this collection while also pushing the boundaries with some bold new silhouettes.”
Several pieces draw inspiration from organic, fluid shapes, exemplified by the Bon and Nina sofas, as well as the Rhys and Inez table ranges. Meanwhile, other items are characterised by their practicality, such as the straightforward yet vibrant Pia bedside table or the quilted Ridley and futuristic Wes armchairs, with their meticulous attention to detail.
Renowned for its commitment to sustainability and dedication to premium quality materials, Jardan champions innovation and advancement as it unveils an array of new timbers, fabrics, and finishes. The Hotel Futura collection features a pioneering water-based lacquer tinted with organic pigment, and incorporates walnut, which will soon be extended to the broader Jardan collection, enriching its offerings.
Exemplifying the sophisticated playfulness for which the Jardan brand has become known, the collection features a vivid selection of colourful tactility, brought to life through considered fabric options. “We approach certain elements from more of a fashion perspective which makes things quite fresh, relevant and unique,” says creative director Renee Garnham.
Ultimately the Hotel Futura collection represents a new chapter in Jardan’s design journey and was only made possible by the talented designers and makers that worked tirelessly behind the scenes. The first collection brought to life at Jardan’s state-of-the-art Scoresby headquarters, Hotel Futura is available through all Jardan showrooms, online … and is officially taking reservations.
