Adapt Work, an extension of Ross Gardam’s Adapt collection, is endlessly dynamic, evolving to accommodate the ever-changing modern work environment.

Since Ross Gardam founded his titular Melbourne-based studio in 2007, innovative, contemporary designs executed with traditional craftsmanship have formed the backbone of his practice. Gardam and his team’s desire to challenge design norms reveals itself in intriguing yet accessible designs that subvert expectations, both aesthetically and functionally, to meet the challenges of modern society.

Like the modern work environment, Adapt Work is endlessly dynamic, changing with the requirements of each workspace and its employees.

Modular design is the nucleus around which Gardam’s Adapt collection, available exclusively through Stylecraft, is formed. Like the modern work environment, the Adapt collection is endlessly dynamic, evolving and changing to suit individual workspaces and employee needs. The latest addition to the series is Adapt Work, a sleek and almost endlessly flexible workstation that can be configured to suit different spaces and functions.

Adapt Work is available with multiple desk heights and widths, to configure the space to individual needs, while adding or removing privacy screens allows for collaboration or autonomous work as required. Arms and backs can be shared, saving on cost and fabric, and desks can be aligned side-by-side or back-to-back to suit spatial and operational requirements. Each workstation has the potential to be fitted with in-desk power units, while even more flexibility is built in through optional castor wheels, allowing the station to be relocated as required.

Adapt Work’s clean lines, soft surfaces and custom colourways seamlessly integrate with the other pieces in the range.

Adapt Work’s clean lines, soft surfaces and custom colourways seamlessly integrate with the other pieces in the range: the Adapt Lounge and the Adapt Hub, both also created to serve the modern work environment. The Adapt Lounge’s flexibility allows it to be scaled up, shifting from a one-seater up to several seats in a horseshoe configuration for meetings and collaboration. Its soft foam and feather-composite rear cushion and seat with quilted feather overlay offers comfort and approachability.

Likewise, the Adapt Hub can be modulated to serve a variety of functions, ranging from a private two-seat study booth to a six-seat space for presentations and meetings, facilitated by a TV screen mount and in-built privacy screens to remove the need for permanently installed fixtures.

Each piece in the Adapt collection is ethically made in Australia and can be delivered in custom fabrication or leather upholstery. The functionality and beauty of the Adapt Hub, Lounge and Work are enhanced by Ross Gardam’s sustainability credentials: the studio has earnt the highest level of eco-certification from GECA and is certified carbon neutral.
