With its refined linearity, the stool is a considered seating offering that adds amenity and an artful touch to any space.

The latest addition to the Zenn Design range upholds the brand’s reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality furniture that is made in Australia. Originally designed by Cassandra Walker Studio and handcrafted by Zenn Design to complement Zenn’s own Melbourne showroom, it went into production soon thereafter. The design is now available to customise in unlimited colour and material options for seat fabrics and frame finishes.

A plush upholstered seat is positioned seamlessly on the linear frame, and an outdoor version of the Archie Stool is fabricated with durable fabric suited to the elements.

“We were sourcing a stool to complement our showroom collaboration space, so we asked Cassandra Walker to draw up a concept for one we could make,” recalls Zenn Design Founder Hannah Goldberg. “We loved it immediately and decided there and then that we would add this to our product offering.”

From the outset, the intention was to create a stool that is both functional and an aesthetically beautiful piece of furniture. The materiality and fabrications of the Archie stool lend strongly to its functionality. An arched handle is incorporated into the back of the steel frame, allowing it to be easily lifted while doubling as a backrest to enhance the stool’s comfort. A plush upholstered seat is positioned seamlessly on the linear frame, and an outdoor version of the Archie Stool is fabricated with durable fabric suited to the elements. While inherently functional, the multi-functional Archie Stool by Zenn Design maintains an understated elegance and a versatile sophistication that elevates any context.
