Carlotta + Gee and Nadia Fairfax-Wayne Launch a Spring-inspired Napery Collection
The new springtime napery collection by Sydney-based French linen brand Carlotta + Gee and fashion editor and stylist Nadia Fairfax-Wayne stars tableware, napkins and placemats. Used to create the most scintillating tablescapes, the range reinstates the designers’ ethos of ‘getting more with less’. The collection reinforces the idea that exceptional dining table decoration can be easily created at home by anyone.
Beautiful tablescapes can transform the most ordinary of meals into an otherworldly experience. This is evidenced in the latest spring napery collection by Sydney-based French linen brand Carlotta + Gee and fashion editor and stylist Nadia Fairfax-Wayne. The range features tableware, napkins and placemats with joyful prints, shapes and patterns which the designers express will bring “a modern joie de vivre to dining tables this spring.”
Over a year in the making, the co-founders of Carlotta + Gee, Georgie Cavanagh and Carlotta Casals, considered Nadia the obvious choice for the collaboration. “Nadia is the ultimate host. We couldn’t think of anyone else we would rather do a napery collection with. She is very Carlotta + Gee. Her unique colour choices and style make you want to sit down and enjoy yourself around a table. These products will be a breath of fresh air this spring as people revel in each other’s company again,” says Georgie and Carlotta.
Always updating the interior of her home, Nadia was keen on tailoring the collection to be both functional and flattering ¬– something pointed at elevating the home entertaining experience. In the same vein, the pieces are designed to work together or separately. The tablecloths are reversible and come in round and rectangular shapes and a variety of sizes. As Nadia notes, “It was all about getting more out of your napery. Through Instagram, we are privy to some of the most spectacular events and tables. We often assume that such arrangements are best left to professional event planners. But Carlotta, Georgie and I wanted to help people feel like they could easily create captivating tablescapes for each and every meal.” For Nadia, the idea was to make each tablescape feel a little different to the last, so that the memories from each celebration would be distinct.

In keeping with the brand’s all-natural and sustainable ethos, the collection is made entirely of 100% French linen derived from flax, a natural fibre with origins in Normandy, France. The optimal climatic conditions of this region ensure that the plant is grown organically, with no pesticides, dangerous chemicals or overconsumption of water. In addition, the material is also prewashed with volcanic stones to ensure extra softness. With pieces that nod to the environment and special occasions in equal spirit, the collection is ideal for elevating springtime celebrations.
