Located on the east coast of New Zealand in Waiheke Island, Beachfront House by Studio John Irving Architects balances between public and private spaces under two gabled roofs that mimic the slope of the hill. When viewed from the beach, Beachfront House disappears into the landscape with materials that were chosen to reflect a weathered aesthetic and withstand the coastal environment.
