The inspiration for the Boulder Sofa came from an ancient grinding stone. It had a slender, tapering form, blunted and smooth from years of use. The idea of erosion is further explored in the form of the scalloped arms that sweep into the back in a continuous curve. These forms, achieved using molded foam, are comfortable and embracing and are echoed in the ottoman.
