LuYu & Yum Yum is a dumpling and tea-house situated in Newtown, Sydney. LuYu is the antiquated craft of tea making which has been combined with the dumpling, otherwise known as YumYum. The brief was to unite this conventional idea in a contemporary, bespoke fit out whilst making it thoughtful to the area of the site. Earthy tiles, recovered blocks and neon were compared against refined laser cut screens and smoked mirror. A fun loving touch was included through a gathering of curated Chinese frill.
