The SJD Residence is a rebuild of an Elsternwick Edwardian brick home.
The complex rebuild of this home, was a masterful architectural design collaboration between Mim Design, Matt Gibson Architecture and Ben Scott Garden Design.
Whilst maintaining the original structure and design of a traditional Victorian Edwardian home, each space throughout this home, has been created with whimsical design features and well curated modern interiors of bold statements of colour, which reflect the home owner’s creativity and personality.
Key pieces such as a fire engine red Ludo the Wolf sculpture matched with a luxurious Tufty sofa in the living room were part of a finely curated interior design, which shows contrast and pops of colour, continued through each space of the home.
Beautifully restored fretwork and bulkheads form an integral part of the interior decoration and architectural concept throughout, which help to provide a strong juxtaposition to the old and new design, whilst custom features and natural products bring authenticity and originality to the house.
The stunning interior design of this house, which details a mixture of deep jewels and soft earthy tones, create both an elegant, yet homey space throughout this house.
