Stone House, currently under construction, by Forty One South is another impressive addition to Tina Rainbow’s portfolio of residential architectural projects.
The Stone House is located on a large site in Victoria surrounded by the iconic Australian bush environment and tucked against an adjacent hillside. Tina wanted to design a home that maximised views of the splendid greenery that this family are lucky enough to live amongst.
The home is currently in the midst of the construction phase, a process undertaken by what Tina labels as an extremely brave owner / builder. The Stone House utilises a modest palette of materials, allowing natural light and the surrounding vegetation to be the real heroes of the design.
With abundant living and children’s play spaces, as well as a subterranean cinema and man-cave, this home ensures that the architecture will accommodate the needs of the family as they grow.
