From The Designer
Serenity, lightness and tactility were bestowed in abundance upon this elegant 1940s beachside apartment, home to a renowned Sydney-based fashion blogger and her partner.
We responded to the owner’s obvious appreciation of beauty and the bespoke with a highly resolved interior careful to balance practicality and spatial awareness with a touch of fun and textural glamour.
All throughout, decorative touches hide extraordinary functionality in this bijoux home, with many design elements purposed to perform double duty, evident in a full height pivot mirror-clad door concealing the pantry.
Specifying contrasting materials, from the humble and hardworking washed plywood alongside Calacatta marble, sculptured brass and custom joinery, served to layer and elevate the space, resulting in a relaxed, creative and enduring home.
