The balance of materials that make up this lamp—its cotton shade, metallic structure and stitched leather grip—are a vindication of industrial craftsmanship. With a strong presence, Dórica is an impressive lamp that evokes the classical doric column. A delicate hand-made ribbon shade is offset by a sturdy dark brown cylindrical base. The lamp stem is topped by a natural leather grip for a rustic feel. Reminiscent of humanity’s oldest Greek columns, Dórica is a symbol of strength. An optional, wider stabilising base is also available for use in busy areas.

Jordi Miralbell conceived design as the art of solving the utilitarian through objects that possess a sense of warmth and appeal. He would effortlessly improve anything he touched.
Every designer sees design in their own, specific way and Mariona Raventós saw it as the art of solving utilitarian needs through objects of human warmth.
Miralbell and Raventós formed a joyful partnership of design based on craftsmanship and were the authors of wonderful pieces of lighting and furniture.formed a pair of design artisans and created beautiful pieces of lighting and furniture. For over 15 years, they collaborated with Santa & Cole as authors, editors, and partners.
