In 2004, Fermob asked Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary Luxembourg garden armchairs and chairs, created in 1923 in the Paris parks department workshops, and which Fermob still manufactures today for the city’s public gardens. The result was the famous Luxembourg chair with the same distinctive lines and forms, combining the lightness and resistance of aluminium with the comfort of curved seat slats. Boasting an ergonomic design and stacking frame, the chair comes in all 24 shades of the Fermob colour chart. There really is something for every taste!
The latest innovation comes in the form of silencing pads, so you can enjoy the birdsong to its fullest!

Between graphics and function, structural realism and formal aesthetics, Frédéric Sofia makes his way instinctively, from the world of objects to contemporary art.
Self-taught, his formation followed atypical and transversal paths. He functions without methodology, without theory, with a practical intuition that needs no explanation. He intervenes on the object in a way that is both classical and viral. The transformations, the messages, are subtly conveyed. Sly references take form and propagate. Without frontiers, a hybrid soul, he recognizes the signs of affiliation, respects individual groups, desacralizing symbols even as he restores them.
A reminder of the evolution of things, homage to what he loves, be it industrial or environmental, his design speaks the language of the collective imagination while celebrating the soul of the object.
24 colours available: Poppy, Pink Praline, Capucine, Honey, Nutmeg, Willow Green, Cactus, Rosemary, Cedar Green, Deep Blue, Acapulco Blue, Lagoon Blue, Opaline Green, Steel Grey, Storm Grey, Anthracite, Russet, Liquorice, Clay Grey, Frosted Lemon, Ice Mint, Cotton White, Red Ochre & Chili.
