Brand Pampa
Designer Pampa

Handwoven by skilled artisans, these Monte rugs have been sourced directly for a fair price from the communities where they were made. Many of the rugs in this collection use designs and colour-ways that are exclusive to Argentina and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. When you purchase a Monte rug, you’re helping Pampa trace the map that connects Argentina’s talented artisans with the global community.

The rugs are woven in traditional ways typical to Latin American rugs, where the looms used are generally the width of the arm span of the weaver. Depending on the width of the weaver’s loom, the rug may have one or more discreet unions where the panels of the rug are joined, which are a beautiful element of their handmade nature.

About The Designer

Pampa works directly with skilled artisans in remote and rural Argentina to bring you the finest-quality woven textiles.

In many parts of Argentina, natural dyes. patterns inspired by nature and the traditions of manual weaving are slowly fading away. Pampa was founded with the desire to protect this woven heritage for the next generation.

In the Quechua language, Pampa means ‘plain between the mountains. All Pampa’s collections have a deeply rooted sense of place and are named after the landscape where they were made.
