Vulcan Panelling is a ceiling and wall lining created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation pine and then engineered with a unique and patented vertical grain for superior stability and minimal
movement. A 10mm lining board allows for better economy and faster installation.
Vulcan Panelling is an excellent and beautiful choice for interior ceilings, interior walls, exterior soffits,
exterior protected applications (e.g. walls not fully exposed to weather). The thermal modification process means this product is naturally durable and does not require any chemical preservatives, making it a healthy addition to an interior.
Available in brushed and smooth dressed finishes in a range of profiles. Coating may be Abodo’s Protector – Hybrid or another product as selected by the customer.
Colours: Uncoated
Profiles: TG9 – 140x10mm, TG9 – 180x10mm. TG18 – 141x10mm, TG19 – 141x10mm
Finish: Smooth and brushed
Durability: Class 1 (EN350-1), Class 2 above ground (AS5604).
Treatment: Thermally modified – INTENZ Thermowood 230 degrees schedule.
OPX H3 treated to Australian standards – proven to be resistant to Australian termites.
Virtually knot free sourced from clears grade timber with no visible defects. Vulcan’s engineered vertical grain is crafted through a patented lamination method resulting in superior stability, straightness, and structural spanning capability.
Protector coating has been developed and tested specifically for Vulcan timber for optimal performance.
Less cupping and warping in service with a low moisture content of 7-9%.
Reduced resin leaching – with the thermal modification process most of the natural resins are burnt from the wood.
Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified – SGS-COC-004944
Declare certified Red List Free by the Living Futures Institute, the leading label in transparency for building products.
Carbon Storage — Each square metre of Abodo’s Vulcan solid timber is proven to store 7.56kg+ of carbon, more than twice the carbon emitted during the manufacturing process. This means carbon is essentially locked in the wood during its useful life.
Abodo’s feature timber cladding, screening, decking and panelling are ethically harvested from New Zealand rapidly renewable and regenerative forests. The family-owned business thermally modifies Radiata Pine and engineers a unique vertical grain orientation to its Vulcan timber, improving dimensional stability and resistance to cracking. Gracing Australian buildings for 10 years, our uniquely made Vulcan vertical grain timber range, is naturally durable and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified.
25 years Built to Last Warranty for OPX termite treated Vulcan timber (subject to terms and conditions).
