Vulcan Screening - Posts and Beams

Vulcan Screening is created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation timber and engineered with a vertical grain construction for superior weathering characteristics.

With Abodo’s patented vertical grain orientation paired with the rigours of the thermal modification process, Vulcan Screening is a robust material that won’t warp or cup in extreme temperatures.

Available in a number of profiles and sizes, Vulcan Screening can be used to add a stylish timber element to any project, from a more traditional extension or renovation to a contemporary design.

Vulcan Screening and Vulcan Nexus Screening battens are available in a number of profiles and sizes, to suit different architectural styles and create unique exterior facades or interior features. Applications: facade screening/fins, balustrades, pergolas, joinery (windows/doors), interior feature battens.

Vulcan Nexus Screening is finger jointed and laminated (GL8 rated). The finger joint clears grade ensures a superior aesthetic free of knots and other defects prominent with knotty softwoods. The finger joining process allows long lengths (6m) as well as a range of set lengths to meet design requirements, reduce material waste and reduce installation time.

Vulcan Screening is not finger jointed and is made from laminated clears grade timber with lengths typically 4.2m or 4.8m.
