But more than that, we bring the spirit of Danish Modern – craftsmanship, beauty, function, innovation and longevity. Our unique collection of brands – all exclusively Scandinavian – embodies the values of uncompromising craftsmanship, respect for makers and designers alike and an environmentally responsible approach to production. With the right care, our furniture is made to last generations. In 2010, Danes Jeanette and Ole Sorensen pooled their extensive expertise in Scandinavian furniture past and present and created Danish Red. What began as a single container of vintage Danish design has today become Australia’s largest collection of world-class furniture designed and made in Scandinavia. The Melbourne-based showroom in High Street Armadale is an oasis for lovers of design and traditional craftsmanship from all over Australia. The collection is home to the work of Danish Modern luminaries Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner, Arne Vodder, Verner Panton, Arne Jacobsen, Hans Bølling, Vilhelm Lauritzen and many more.
