Wool and woolen blankets are more than just comforting objects in Aotearoa (New Zealand) — they are a symbol of our nation’s past, present, and future. From the early days of trade and traditional Māori weaving to the homesteads built on sheep stations and soldiers wrapped in warmth, wool has long been a thread in the fabric of our collective story. At Noa Blanket Co, we honour that legacy. Our luxury wool blankets are consciously crafted from 100% pure New Zealand lamb’s wool and made entirely in Aotearoa — from farm to loom. Rooted in heritage and grounded in intention, each blanket draws on traditional Māori design to tell stories that reflect our culture, identity and shared values. Founded in Tauranga by Whakaawa and Joshua Te Kani, Noa Blanket Co is the result of deep connection to te ao Māori, a passion for design and a commitment to the preservation of our stories. Together, they weave mātauranga Māori and modern living into timeless taonga — blankets to be gifted, treasured and passed down. More than just a source of warmth, Noa blankets are a celebration of connection, a tool for storytelling and a keepsake that honours the land and the people.
