Robbins Architecture

Robbins Architecture uses timeless design principles of proportion, light, and materiality to shape a home. With thoughtfulness and care, Celeste and her team weave each of these elements with a client’s vision to create spaces that radiate warmth, elegance, and livability. Our work is not defined by a particular style. Instead, our homes reflect each client’s vision and aspirations.  We begin by listening to how our clients describe their ideal home, asking questions and having conversations to uncover the essence of how their home should feel and function. With thoughtful composition and edits we take a complex description of ideas and continuously refine until the long “wish list” becomes a composition of spaces that is serene and beautiful. Our projects have been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest and recognized with numerous awards.  Yet, we are most proud of our list of repeat clients and word of mouth referrals, confirming our commitment to balancing aesthetics with livability for each project. Celeste Robbins Celeste’s love for design and craft began at an early age. Growing up in Ohio, she would spend hours constructing elaborate forts using safety pins and blankets tucked into drawers. As she grew, so did her passion for architecture and design. She trained at Cornell University and spent several years working on the East Coast before returning to her Midwest roots and settling in Chicago. Although the philosophy of “Less is More” is already taken, Celeste believes every design should be edited until the solution is meaningful, serene, and beautiful. She understands that a home needs to be as livable as it is elegant and she is passionate about incorporating nature into her designs. Inherent flexibility, modern livability, and timeless beauty define her work, resulting in harmonious spaces that fit her clients’ tastes and lifestyles. While Robbins Architecture staff has grown with commissions across the United States, Celeste remains personally involved with each and every project – a hallmark of her dedication to her clients. Publications and awards aside, Celeste values most her repeat client relationships, word of mouth referrals, and the friendships she has made throughout her career.
