ForestOne Launches New DesignerOne Range
ForestOne’s DesignerOne Colour Range marks a major milestone for the company: a curated range of locally made, design-forward decorated panels and laminates.
Style and function intersect in ForestOne’s benchmark new DesignerOne range. Intended to raise the standard of quality decorated panels and laminates, the collection offers 24 trend-driven colours across solids, patterns and woodgrains, and available in three finishes. “We worked closely with the design and specification community to understand what’s being asked for – not just in terms of colour, but also tone, texture and versatility,” says Darryl Ball, ForestOne’s group decorative and specification manager. “The result is a palette that balances timeless neutrals, soft midtones and authentic woodgrains.”
DesignerOne was curated to meet the growing demand for locally made, design-focused colours that deliver reliable performance for joiners, cabinetmakers and designers. The range is suitable for custom joinery, internal cabinetry and furniture and wardrobe applications, offering consistency and confidence across all interior spaces.
The collection’s 24 carefully considered colours respond to current interior trends. “Whether the project is light and contemporary or bold and textured, there’s something in the range to support that vision,” says Ball. “This isn’t just a random set of colours – it’s a curated range, crafted for discerning consumers, designers and builders.”
The range features solid colours such as crisp Sheer White and moody Lunar Grey, providing clean, versatile bases for minimalist schemes or more detailed interior elements. Patterned colours like Grigio Linen and Aluminium Haze add texture and tactility, making them ideal for feature joinery and interior cabinetry. “They’re also a great way to add dimension to internal cabinetry and furniture – and offer designers more texture to play with,” says Ball. A selection of woodgrains offers a realistic expression of natural timber, with all the durability and consistency of a laminate. Banstead Oak offers timeless warmth, while Charred Oak delivers a more contemporary, refined character.
Alongside the 24 colours, the DesignerOne range includes three finishes, including Drift, which Ball says is the “most sophisticated” option. Its realistic matte woodgrain has an authentic timber look and feel, and works in applications where texture is key: kitchens, commercial spaces or tonal layering in joinery. Stipple, on the other hand, has a subtly textured, satin-like finish that helps to reduce the visibility of blemishes, while the smooth, low-sheen Natural features a velvety touch.
“Looking ahead, we have a real opportunity to shape how our products are made.”
Sustainability is a driving force behind DesignerOne. The range is crafted on recyclable, moisture-resistant particleboard and moisture-resistant MDF, both of which are Chain of Custody certified – a recognition that means materials are both ethically sourced and manufactured. The certification reflects ForestOne’s ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing.
ForestOne’s DesignerOne Colour Range is an all-rounder: durable, design-forward and sustainable, with the benefits of a locally made collection layered in. It gestures towards the company’s intentions for the future. “Looking ahead, we have a real opportunity to shape how our products are made,” says Ball.
