Artedomus, a name synonymous with premium stone, tiles, bathware and furniture, has expanded its offering to include architectural hardware. The shift comes through a new partnership with Brisbane-based artisanal hardware brand Spiggy and represents the next epoch for Artedomus.

The new partnership between these two leading design brands will allow designers and homeowners to choose unique handles for kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces that complement Artedomus’ surfaces and furniture. The new offerings make the process of choosing hardware more accessible and seamless, and will ultimately result in more considered designs.

“This partnership felt very organic as Artedomus and Spiggy share similar values – we both look for unique, beautifully made products with a story to tell, carefully sourced from boutique brands across the globe.”

Founded by designer Colin Wright in 2020, Spiggy offers expertly crafted and authentically designed hardware. Colin sources pieces from around the world and the collection caters to a diverse range of architectural aesthetics as it encompasses a broad expanse of styles, from more minimalist to highly decorative. Before launching Spiggy, Colin worked at Artedomus for many years, a background that informs both his design aesthetic and his way of doing business.

The partnership was a seamless collaboration for both brands. “It felt very organic as Artedomus and Spiggy share similar values – we both look for unique, beautifully made products with a story to tell, carefully sourced from boutique brands across the globe,” says Artedomus Managing Director Phil Brenton. “It’s been a joy to watch Spiggy grow over the past few years, and we’re pleased to be part of the next stage of the company’s growth. Given Artedomus’ extensive network and experience, we hope to bring this fantastic hardware range to more designers and homeowners who are looking for something a little bit special for their home or commercial space.”

“My intention for Spiggy was always to do for hardware what Artedomus has done for tiles, so I really couldn’t have wished for a better alignment.”

While a new era for the Artedomus brand, the partnership also represents an exciting next step for Spiggy. “I’m absolutely thrilled to partner with Artedomus,” Colin says. “I have so much respect for the people, their passion for their products, and the way the business is run. My intention for Spiggy was always to do for hardware what Artedomus has done for tiles, so I really couldn’t have wished for a better alignment. We attract the same type of client, and there’s a natural synergy between the type of products we look for and the way we approach both business and our relationships with our suppliers.”

Artedomus and Spiggy’s union represents not only a new offering in the realm of architectural hardware but an inspiring example of the nexus of creativity and collaboration. Spiggy hardware can currently be seen in its Brisbane showroom (Level 1, 927 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley), and will be on display in the Artedomus Sydney showroom at the end of 2023 and in Melbourne in 2024.
