Since 2010, Coco Flip has woven considered design with a playful touch in its distinctive furniture and lighting. The Bellini collection exemplifies this guiding philosophy.

Named after the classic cocktail that originated in Venice’s Hotel Cipriani, the Bellini range is an ode to European summers. Inspired by cocktails at golden hour and last swims, the latest collection from Coco Flip encompasses a versatile array of compact and elongated bench seats, side tables, coffee tables and low and high stools, each piece adorned with undulating trim and legs crafted from powder-coated steel.

“Coco Flip strives to create products that imbue a certain personality or tone and take on a character and mood through both form and materiality,” says Kate Stokes, the brand’s co-founder. “We believe that the best design is balanced and poetic, striking a chord with people’s emotions. The Bellini collection has warmth, nostalgia and a sense of luxury that transports you to a different era while maintaining a relaxed simplicity.”

The tactile experience of the Bellini range extends to its diverse range of materiality, including American oak, travertine and thick-veined Maharam corduroy. The fabric options boast a muted palette, featuring colours like Oleander’s subtle shade of olive green, the soft powder blue of Oracle and the warm mustard tones of Mikado.

“The benches can be upholstered in any fabric, but we were drawn to Maharam’s Wide Corduroy as the standard upholstery,” Kate says. “Its luxurious quality and the rich, warm finishes embody the mood and tone we were striving to achieve.”

As with every Coco Flip creation, Bellini stands as a testament to the studio’s commitment to sustainable practices and meticulous craftsmanship. Proudly made in Melbourne, the range marks another chapter in Coco Flip’s commitment to creating locally. “Working with local manufacturers to bring our pieces to life is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do,” Kate says. “On Bellini, we worked closely with our upholsterers, metalworkers and powder-coaters to achieve iterative improvements as we developed the collection. Their willingness to experiment and refine has resulted in a level of detail and quality that surpassed even our expectations.”

The versatility of the Bellini pieces extends beyond their aesthetic appeal. From compact bench seats ideal for intimate gatherings to elongated tables perfect for larger social events, the range is crafted to adapt seamlessly to various settings. The customisation options further enhance adaptability, allowing homeowners and designers to tailor each piece to their unique vision.

As these pieces find their place in design-conscious homes worldwide, they carry with them the essence of Coco Flip, inviting individuals to curate spaces that tell stories, one whimsically crafted piece at a time.
