Upon entering the large timber door, a curved stair guides the eye upward, while expressive stone slab flooring sets the scene for the home. The integration of handcrafted details throughout ensures the home’s distinct identity is hinted at through the effect of touch. By bringing in influences from the surrounding coastal setting, subtleties in textures create varied surfaces for the incoming light play throughout the day. Skylights then bring natural illumination deeper into the house and soft linen sheers provide a buffering of the building edge and create a veil of privacy from onlookers, while still allowing ample natural light to fill the interior.
