Located in a heritage building on Melbourne’s Collins Street, the new Cosentino City showroom encapsulates the essence of the international brand.

Spanish company Cosentino is a global leader in stone, supplying high-end, innovative and sustainable surfaces for architectural and design projects across the world. Now the family- owned company has expanded its bricks-and-mortar presence in Oceania, with the opening of a new design hub in Melbourne. Located in a former National Australia Bank building on Collins Street in the CBD, the showroom is the brand’s newest “Cosentino City” centre, a design hub where professionals and homeowners can experience the company’s wide range of offerings and solutions, as well as a suite of immersive tools.

“Our ateliers are designed to inspire architects and homeowners but also support and facilitate their design process.”

“Something that Cosentino City centres offer that other showrooms don’t is our ateliers,” explains Antonia Anderson, the centre’s manager. “These are designed to inspire architects and homeowners but also support and facilitate their design process.” The ateliers are the foundation of the Cosentino City experience, with a host of ideas and possibilities for customers to access. “We have a range of samples from complementary brands and suppliers, which means we essentially have a working library.”

The centre’s interior pays homage to the original structure of the heritage building, celebrating its high ceilings while imbuing the 535-square-metre space with a more modern, luxury aesthetic. It features two ateliers, a ‘bathelier’, a live kitchen and meeting rooms, as well as the latest technologies and the ability to showcase a 360-degree view of projects.

“Cosentino City Melbourne really gives clients a much deeper insight and understanding of the scale in which we operate and the products we have to offer.”

The hub highlights the different ways customers can use Cosentino products and showcases brands such as Dekton, Sensa and Scalea by Cosentino. “It really gives clients a much deeper insight and understanding of the scale in which we operate and the products we have to offer,” Antonia says. “We have done this consistently throughout the showroom, so wherever the client looks, they will see one of our products being used, not just displayed.”

The Melbourne Cosentino City was officially opened in January, with the launch attended by 300 collaborators, clients and professionals. Celebrating excellence, creativity and innovation, the new design hub welcomes designers and homeowners to explore the brand’s products in a tactile and authentic way.
