Facilitating connection and community, Delacombe Stadium by Kosloff Architecture captures a refined sense of elegance. An extension of Delacombe Primary School, the space sees the expert application of material to craft contemporary relevance and longevity.

A finalist for the 2021 Victorian Premier’s Design Awards, the brief for Delacombe Stadium requested a dedicated space for indoor and competitive sports. The modern interior is both functional and bright, with ample access to natural light and ventilation. A minimal and neutral material palette is fitted throughout, with warm timber hues sitting alongside a black baton ceiling. Translucent wall cladding adorns the southern walls of the stadium space, allowing for gentle natural light to illuminate the court. At night, the lighting from within shines through the cladding – a welcoming beacon glowing along the streetscape.
