Designer Ross Didier presents pieces from his Puffalo Lounging and Fable Oak collections amid Baroque-style settings reminiscent of 17th century still life paintings. Strongly alluding to drama and dynamism, this series of images continues Ross’s creative exploration into the emotions that spaces, furniture and objects can elicit when combined.

These lavish scenes – where toppled silverware lies empty, fabrics are strewn haphazardly and two roosters sit idly by – are heavily inspired by Ross’s formative years working back-of-house in London’s theatres. As the focal point, the curvaceous Didier Puffalo sofa is the epitome of long, languid afternoons; its lush fabric and oversized form encourages one to adopt a slower tempo. As Ross says, “Puffalo modular lounging celebrates the horizontal life and inspires multiple combinations of voluptuous, deluxe shapes.” Also featured is Didier’s Fable collection, which “symbolises home and family” through its portrayal of familial, domestic moments under a guise of opulence and exuberance.

Romanticised yet oddly familiar, these theatrical settings enhance the spirit of the Puffalo and Fable collections and serve as imaginative transformations of Ross’s creative output.
