Stoked has never simply made spas. Founded in Wānaka, New Zealand by Dan Young and Andrew Horton – two sheet-metal engineers with a shared obsession for hot water and honest materials – the brand has built its name on stainless-steel and cedar tubs, baths, plunge pools and spas that are engineered as much as they are enjoyed, with a Climate Care Certification to back up its commitment to sustainability. In July, that ethos crossed the Tasman properly, with the opening of Stoked’s new showroom in Alexandria in Sydney’s inner south.

For architects, designers and homeowners alike, the showroom offers something a catalogue never could.

It is a quiet but confident statement: these are pieces considered enough to be design objects, holding their own in a showroom setting just as they do in the high-end residences and resorts they already call home. The Stoked experience begins the moment you step through the door, long before a single drop of water is drawn. For architects, designers and homeowners alike, the showroom offers something a catalogue never could – the chance to run a hand along brushed, 316 marine-grade steel, to register the scale of a full-sized plunge pool in a real room, and to understand, in person, why Stoked has become the benchmark for premium outdoor living.

Every piece in the range is shaped by intention rather than embellishment, with clean lines, considered proportion and an engineered simplicity that reads as architecture first and indulgence second. The showroom lets visitors move through the full breadth of that thinking. The Electric Spa 1.6m is the most compact expression of the idea, an ergonomic round spa built for four.

For projects with more room to move, the Electric Plunge Pool 3m x 2m offers 360-degree bench seating for up to 14.

Step up to the eight-jet Electric Spa 1.9m and the same restraint scales to a six-person family spa with app-controlled heating. For projects with more room to move, the Electric Plunge Pool 3m x 2m offers 360-degree bench seating for up to 14, while the Electric Plunge Pool 6m x 2m is the showstopper of the range, its half-lounge, half-activity layout built to anchor a garden rather than sit quietly within one.

That kind of confidence is worth the investment. Stainless steel’s non-porous surface means lower chemical demand and none of the fading or micro-cracking that eventually catches up with acrylic or fibreglass. Handcrafted construction, meanwhile, pairs with no-compromise simplicity: no concrete pad, no complex install, just considered design that drops into almost any space.

Stoked tubs and pools feature across a growing map of high-end residences and hospitality projects throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Backing it all is a 50-year warranty on the stainless-steel inner barrel, a guarantee that treats these products less as purchases and more as fixtures for life. That structural guarantee also sits alongside a two-year warranty on all other componentry, underscoring just how seriously the brand takes longevity beyond the shell itself.

It’s a philosophy already proven at the top end of the market. Stoked tubs and pools feature across a growing map of high-end residences and hospitality projects throughout New Zealand and Australia, from boutique lodges and alpine retreats to architect-designed homes and beachfront accommodation. The Sydney showroom is the next chapter in that story  and, for local specifiers, homeowners and the A&D community, the closest they’ll get to the real thing without booking a soak.
