Celebrations of Innovation – The 37th Dulux Colour Awards
Returning for its 37th year, the Dulux Colour Awards honours the innovative ways colour has been used in residential, commercial and public spaces. Judged by five of Australia and New Zealand’s leading architects and designers, the awards recognise individuals who have shown exemplary use of colour in design.
With the help of some of Australia’s most prominent architecture, design and cultural insiders, the Dulux Colour Awards returns once more. Held at the accoladed Space & Time in Melbourne’s inner city, the milestone event will be co-hosted by Dana Tomic Hughes from Yellowtrace and past award recipient Sarah-Jane Pyke from Arent&Pyke. “The Dulux Colour Awards are a celebration of the power and joy of colour,” explains Sarah-Jane, “and how we use colour to enhance design and architecture.”
A selection of categories – which include commercial interior, commercial and multi-residential exterior, residential interior, single residential exterior and student work from Australia and New Zealand – will be awarded at the event. The illustrious panel of judges includes Andrew Piva, Brahman Perera, Lisa Lee, Sarah George and Byron George. “Chosen for their expertise and dedication to design and architecture, this year’s judges bring a wealth of experience and an array of valuable perspectives,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour and Communications Manager. Not only will the winners receive acclaim and industry recognition, but they will also be awarded prize money and showcased across Dulux’s digital platforms.
Applauding entrants’ use of colour, the 37th Dulux Colour Awards continues to celebrate how colour can transform space. Entrants have until March to submit their designs before final winners are announced on 11 May 2023.
