Workrooms Broadbeach leans into the desirable Gold Coast setting with a neutral palette and light-filled spaces. Specifying materials from the EGGER and MEGANITE collections, Gray Puksand has created a highly functional and professional flexible working environment, tempered by the laid-back serenity of the locale.

Offering short-term, flexible and technology-driven spaces, Workrooms Broadbeach builds on the ethos explored at existing Workrooms locations in Sydney and Melbourne. As the project’s interior designer, Melanie Johnson explains, “the brief called for a bespoke, elevated design that connected to the unique location and, in turn, its end users. Drawing inspiration from the coastal aesthetic, the design language seamlessly blends muted tones with natural materials, creating a harmonious balance between the professional environment and the relaxed informality of the coast.”

“The warm tones of these products allow them to be seamlessly integrated amongst other materials and finishes, striking a perfect balance between contrast and unity,” says Melanie.

With materiality central to cultivating the desired design language, Gray Puksand incorporated warm timbers, neutral finishes and subtle textures. The designers found the natural depth and detail of EGGER’s Kendal Oak wood décor elevated its original design, complementing the landscape and location of Workrooms Broadbeach. “The warm tones of these products allow them to be seamlessly integrated amongst other materials and finishes, striking a perfect balance between contrast and unity,” says Melanie. Similarly, MEGANITE’s Verde Terrazzo introduces softness and detail to the high-traffic spaces. As Melanie explains, “the selection of MEGANITE was driven by its exceptional durability, ease of maintenance and minimal environmental impact, making it a standout option for our design.”

By developing an elegant material palette, Gray Puksand has delivered a new Workrooms space that exudes the vibrancy of coastal living alongside a high level of amenity. “The design process can be lengthy and time-consuming, so having a confident specification team that eliminates the guesswork allows us to focus on other critical design aspects,” Melanie notes. With abundant natural light and benefiting from generous ocean views, Workrooms Broadbeach presents teams and individuals with a unique and harmonious working opportunity.
