Soft to the touch and exuding comfort, wool adds warmth to any space. Bremworth’s naturally beautiful carpets and rugs are made with New Zealand wool in a range of popular textures and colours that reveal the benefits of incorporating all-natural wool into the home.

With an ethos rooted in sustainability and a commitment to quality and design-led innovation, Bremworth is a premium carpet and rug company whose pure wool products have been bringing exceptional warmth and comfort into homes for 60 years. Bremworth takes a considered approach to the design process in order to create timeless products, while keeping an eye firmly on fashion and interior trends in both colour and texture.

The company’s expansive range of carpets and rugs are made with high-quality 100 per cent New Zealand wool, considered to be among the world’s finest. A pristine climate, pure water, clean air and the quality of pastureland are all factors which contribute to its world-class standing, and help to produce the beautifully clean white fibres that allow Bremworth to achieve better colour clarity. Bremworth has developed exacting specifications for wool colour, length and thickness to achieve the perfect balance between softness, design and overall performance. Long-standing relationships with growers also contribute to the quality and consistency of the wool.

The brand champions the many benefits of wool as one of the world’s most natural, renewable flooring options. One hundred per cent biodegradable and totally hypoallergenic, wool can resist odours and help control moisture, is fire- and stain-resistant, durable and simple to clean. Wool carpets naturally improve a room’s warmth and acoustics, bringing an unparalleled sense of cosiness and quiet.

Bremworth’s range of rugs can be personalised to suit every interior. Customers can choose their preferred colour (some products have up to 10 options), size and shape, as well as edging preferences. The range of 11 includes the new Mackenzie, inspired by the rugged region of the same name on the South Island, and featuring subtle striations for added texture, and Galet, a chunky loop design that looks as good visually as it feels underfoot. It comes in interesting colourways, too, including Sage, a strong green, and Sienna, a beautiful bronze. Then there’s the elegant, tailored Lattice, ideal for the every-day, and Ripples, a luxurious felted wool option that comes in seven subtle neutral hues.

Bremworth’s carpets embody the same softness and comfort, with the newest lines reflecting the trend for vibrant pops of colour in interiors. Charmeuse, redolent of crushed velvet, is luxuriously soft and comes in two new colourways – Woodland, a rich forest green, and Clay, an earthy terracotta. More neutral options include Wainamu, a Berber loop-pile that embodies the natural beauty of the New Zealand landscape around Lake Wainamu, and Ripples, in a felted wool that’s texturally rich.

Resilience and adaptability are also important to the brand. In February 2023, Cyclone Gabrielle devastated the Hawke’s Bay region on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island. Extensive flooding caused Bremworth’s Napier facility to be taken offline. While the site remains non-operational, the company adopted a hybrid supply chain model that uses local and offshore suppliers, and continues to produce quality carpets and rugs despite the setback. This kind of innovation is a hallmark of the brand which, for six-plus decades, has been creating beautifully designed, elegant, natural wool rugs and carpets that are soft to the touch yet high-performing on the floor. There are few better, or more natural ways, to soften and elevate an interior.
